Dave Daubenmire Says America Needs 'A More Violent Christianity'

The "Christian Dominionists" want to get tough, and see Trump as their "strong" leader. I used to read Dave Daubemire's articles on News with Views, where one could see the usual alt-right nonsense. They promote messages like "Might Makes Right".  That's the message that took over many evangelical churches. These types think you can just beat everyone up and they will submit and do what you want.  I'd like to see where we were told in the Bible to go beat everyone up and physically fight. True leaders don't have to shove people out of the way to lead, they lead by example.

That said I think the left did their own thing exaggerating Trump scooting by that guy, and with the articles about the reporter getting "beaten up". They had an audio of it but did they have a video? Well we will have another politician to help make cuts for Trump, he's from New Jersey not even Montana, why'd he'd go so far from home to run?

Hmm "blessed are the peacemakers" but not according to this guy. If anything we have a world grown more violent under oppressors, very few are talking conscience, or peace or compassion. I see this guy and those like him as possible Cointelpros to get the "Christians" up in arms. These are the same types who helped promote the scapegoating and oppression of the poor and worship of the uber rich for the global elites.  One thing wrong with the "Christian" system as it now stands is the worship of power and might in this world. The early Christian church didn't stand in awe of Ceasar, they followed Jesus Christ.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I noticed Daubenmire blended Christian authority with Trump's display of authority. What does Christian authority have to do with him? He just does what the world leaders want him to do. We only obey Jesus Christ. Daubermire sounds more like an insider who is trying to get Christians to riot, create a police state where Christians are thrown in jail. His train of thought is... it's the world against Christian scenario and they are going to wrestle one another until the world comes down. Has he not read the book of Revelation? Jesus said we have overcome the world, we are not of it. Why would we want to go into enemy territory and shove them around? We can stand up for what we believe and do what is right but to say hey let's all go down into the enemy's camp and do battle without God's permission is like asking for defeat. It was not such a great idea when Israel decided to do that without God's approval. I am going to post Scriptures on a continuation regarding violence. Sounds like this man has not read the Bible and only refers to the bloodshed in the Old Testament when Israel was instructed BY GOD to defeat their enemies to gain the land God gave them. This is not our home so we are not to go out and defeat our enemies to take over the lands of the earth. Our inheritance is much better than that.

Numbers 14:39-45King James Version (KJV)

39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

40 And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the Lord hath promised: for we have sinned.

41 And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the Lord? but it shall not prosper.

42 Go not up, for the Lord is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the Lord, therefore the Lord will not be with you.

44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.

45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.

I have come to realize after coming out of a right wing 'conservative Christian(?)' 501c.3 church (joined at the hip by the state/government), that these so called followers of Jesus, LOVE their war mentality just as much as those they condemn, the liberals. I have seen no difference in the hatred, the vitriol, and the "we need another good war to stimulate the economy" statements made by those men and women who claim to know jesus(one of their own making), BETTER than the rest of us.

And we sit comfortably and boldly in our churches on memorial day and fourth of july Sundays, praising, worshiping, clapping, and idolizing our military members for their service to Christ(?), the state, and supposedly, us.

When did Jesus idolize the deep state?

BB,

Unfortunately, most who profess to be Christians act like thugs and think that every worldly position belongs to their kind (there was once a man who preached on the "seven mountain" something way back when). It is sad that these sort choose to pick portions of scripture to support their madness.

"Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world: if my Kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my Kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36).

The dominionists want to rule this world and will fight to run this world according to the worldly rules. They, therefore belong to this world and NOT the Kingdom of God. For this is the fruit they vehemently portray (Matthew 7:16-20) in their "spiritual righteousness".

We who believe in Christ have read and understood that the battle is not ours but the LORD's (2 Chronicles 20:15). And he alone knows the arsenal that he will use at the day of the LORD ("Hast thou entered into the treasure of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail; Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?" [Job 38:22-23]).

It should be clear to those who are Christians that we are in the world BUT NOT of the world (John 17:16-26). We can't apply our faith to worldly concepts.

@ Miss Debra, many thanks for the scripture you have quoted.
